David Francisco Torres León is a Data Manager at the Development Innovation Lab. He works closely with research teams to ensure the highest standards of data quality, providing hands-on support, delivering trainings, and developing resources that help teams collect and manage data rigorously.
Prior to joining DIL, David worked as a Senior Data Specialist on the Global Research and Data Science team at Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), where he developed data science resources, delivered trainings for staff and partners, implemented remote data collection methods including phone, online, and messaging-based surveys, and contributed to evaluations in areas such as cash transfers, early childhood development, entrepreneurship, and migration.
David holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Public and Government Affairs, as well as a Master’s degree in Applied Economics, all from Universidad de Los Andes.
