Arthur Baker is the Chief of Staff for DIL. In this role, he works on research, strategy, and policy outreach across the lab’s portfolio, and works closely with Michael Kremer on external partnerships. He helped to establish and lead DIL’s safe drinking water workstream. He received an Emergent Ventures Prize for work on market shaping for COVID-19 vaccines as part of the Accelerating Health Technologies project. Before DIL, worked at the Centre for Global Development on aid effectiveness and climate finance. He also ran randomized evaluations at Innovations for Poverty Action in Sierra Leone and Evidence Action in Kenya, including on election debates, incentives for childhood immunization, and deworming.
